Hey Wellness Family! Today I’m going to share with you a recipe for making your own bath bombs! You are welcome to put your own spin on them by jazzing them up with different herbs, essential oils and additions!
Why make your own bath bombs?
Bath bombs are fun! My kids love them! The bummer is you can’t control or always find clean and healthy bombs that won’t add toxins to your bath water. They do take a bit of practice at getting the right consistency so that they stick together but will also come out of the mold.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Citric Acid
- 1 cup Baking Soda (without aluminum)
- 1/2 cup Epsom Salt
- 1/2 cup Organic Arrowroot Powder
- 3 Tbsp Organic Almond Oil or Organic Fractionated Coconut Oil
- 1 tsp Water
- 1 Tbsp Organic Dried Herbals – Lavender, Orange peel, eucalyptus etc
- 10 drops Essential Oils from a trusted company – (match your herbal)
Instructions
- Mix together citric acid, baking soda, arrowroot powder and salt.
- Stir in your oil and water and mix until crumbly and well incorporated.
- Add essential oils to your mixture and blend.
- If you want you can add herbals to the mix, however make sure they are small which may require blending to pulverize.
- Use bath bomb cups to shape.
- Allow to set out on a tray for at least 24 hours before bagging.
- Enjoy!
