These bran muffins are absolutely delicious and go really well with homemade butter!
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup Organic Bran
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1 egg
- 2/3 cup Organic Brown Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 cup Gluten free namaste flour
- 1 tsp Aluminum free Baking Soda
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- Optional – 1/2 cup raisins (or blueberries)
I love to make this recipe after I’ve made homemade butter which also yields homemade buttermilk using our raw milk share.
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Soak the bran (and raisins if desired) in the milk. Mix all other ingredients together in a bowl. Pour the milk and bran in and incorporate that as well. Scoop into muffin tins and bake for 18 minutes. Enjoy!

- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/2 cup Salt
- Optional - 1/2 cup Raisins or Blueberries

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Soak bran (and optional raisins) in the buttermilk. Combine all other ingredients into a bowl and beat until mixed. Add in the buttermilk and bran and stir until incorporated. Scoop into 12 muffins tins. Bake for 18 minutes. Enjoy!
